What’s the First Thing you Think of when . . . . ?
You must know that nutty game. I say one word, you follow up with the first word you think of - then the next person follows - and so on.
Over 680 7-11 year olds were asked the first thing they thought of when they heard the word MILLENNIUM.
16% replied ‘Millennium Dome’ and 9% said ‘Millennium Bug’. Robbie Williams got 9%, but 21% of those taking part had odd ideas or none. At 1% the Star Wars character ‘Millennium Falcon’ scored equally with Jesus. Just one boy and seven girls gave Jesus that honour!
It depends on your perspective, I guess. From His eternal point of view, God has given Jesus: " . . . the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord . . . " - so says St Paul (Philippians chapter 2 verses 10-11).
That day is yet to come - but it will - as surely as the third millennium has arrived. |
