Tag Rugby Festival

There was a Tag Rugby Festival held on Wednesday 8^th November for all the Cluster Primary Schools. The rugby development officer and coaches took the session, which involved approximately 140 pupils from primary 4-7. Senior pupils from Carrick were involved with coaching.

Xmas Parcels

This year’s Christmas parcel collection will begin on 13^th November.

Enterprise Week

All departments within the school will be highlighting classroom activities for Enterprise Week, which starts on 13^th November. At each year group assembly selected subjects are given a 5-10 minute slot to allow pupils to present “enterprise” the department. A visitor to the school will be giving talks to pupils in special assemblies throughout the week. An Innovation Day will be held on Wednesday 15^th which will allow a group of pupils to represent the school at SAC event at Princess Royal Suite at the Racecourse in Ayr.

Choir & Band

Concert for Alloway Church Senior Citizens on Tuesday 14^th November.  Some members of choir performing solos and the school band are entertaining as well.

Dance Champion

Shannan Brown a pupil of 1R2 proudly took home two British titles at a disco dancing competition held in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on the 15th October 2006. Dancing as an under 12 premier champ she swept the dance floor of 60 hopeful competitors to win British Champion of 2006. In a joint effort with her pairs partner she won the under 12 British pairs championship. Making her sponsors – Gossip Designs, her family and friends very proud. All pupils and staff at Carrick wish her the very best of luck in her dancing future.
