And ELIZABETH ANDERSON or WATT who died 1868. Also of their children DAVID who died 1857, ISABELLA who died 1862, MARY WATT or MUIR  died 1877. And ELIZABETH daughter of the last named.

FIRST GENERATION

 

1.  Thomas WATT was a Carrier.

 

  Thomas WATT and Isabell MURDOCH had the following children:

 

            +2              i.    James WATT.

              3             ii.    Alexander WATT was baptized on December 23, 1798 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 1

              4            iii.    Margaret WATT was baptized on November 2, 1800 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 2

              5           iv.    Thomas WATT was baptized on June 11, 1802 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 3

              6            v.    John WATT was baptized on December 1, 1803 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 4

              7           vi.    Jean WATT was baptized on September 15, 1805 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 5

              8          vii.    Agnes WATT was baptized on January 25, 1807 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 6

              9         viii.    David WATT was baptized on October 23, 1808 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 7

            10            ix.    William WATT was baptized on May 27, 1810 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 8

            11             x.    Andrew WATT was baptized on December 27, 1812 in Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire. 9

 

SECOND GENERATION

 

 2.  James WATT (Thomas-1) was baptized on September 17, 1797 in Parish of Ochiltree, Ayrshire. 10  He died on March 7, 1883 in Coylton Village, Ayrshire.11   He was a Farm Overseer, Drumbain.  He was born in Parish of Ochiltree, Ayrshire.   He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #1.12

 Elizabeth ANDERSON (daughter of William ANDERSON and Jane PORTEOUS)  was born on March 24, 1796 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.13  She died on March 30, 1868 in Drumbain, Maybole, Ayrshire.14  She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #1.   James WATT and Elizabeth ANDERSON had the following children:

 

            12              i.    Jane WATT  was baptized on October 18, 1818 in Parish of St. Quivox & Newton, Ayrshire. 15  She died YOUNG.

            13             ii.    Thomas WATT was baptized on July 6, 1820 in Parish of St. Quivox & Newton, Ayrshire. 16

            14            iii.    Jane WATT was baptized on October 24, 1822 in Parish of St. Quivox & Newton, Ayrshire. 17

            15           iv.    William WATT was baptized on October 22, 1824 in Parish of St. Quivox & Newton, Ayrshire. 18

          +16            v.    Jannet Tennant (Jessie) WATT  (born on March 29, 1829).

            17           vi.    Isabella WATT was born on January 20, 1831 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.19   She died in 1862.  She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #1.

            18          vii.    David WATT was born on January 14, 1833 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 20  He died in 1857.  He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #1.

            19         viii.    Alexander WATT was born on August 25, 1834 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 21

          +20            ix.    Mary WATT (born on February 23, 1837).

 

THIRD GENERATION

 

16.   Jannet Tennant (Jessie) WATT (James-2, Thomas-1) was born on March 29, 1829 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 22

 

She was married to Thomas CAMPBELL on May 25, 1851 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 23  Thomas CAMPBELL was born about 1829 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.   He was a Labourer in Coal Pit.  Jannet Tennant (Jessie) WATT and Thomas CAMPBELL had the following children:

 

            21              i.    William CAMPBELL was born on October 10, 1852 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 24

 

20.  Mary WATT (James-2, Thomas-1)  was born on February 23, 1837 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.25  She died in 1877.  She was a Dressmaker.  She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #1.

 

She was married to John MUIR (son of John MUIR and Helen BLACK) on December 29, 1857 in Drumbain, Maybole, Ayrshire.26  John MUIR was born about 1836.  He was a Mason.   Mary WATT and John MUIR had the following children:

 

            22              i.    Elizabeth MUIR was born on April 3, 1859 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.   She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #1.
