1.  Hugh McCLELLAN was a Labourer.

  Hugh McCLELLAN and Helen DUNLOP had the following children:

              3                     ii.    John McLELLAN was born on December 27, 1781 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 1

SECOND GENERATION

 2.  Thomas McLELLAND (Hugh-1) was born on May 12, 1784 in Largs, Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 2  He died on March 23, 1855 in Culroy Village, Maybole, Ayrshire. 3  He was a Weaver.  He was buried in

Kirkbride Churchyard #40.   Monumental Inscription at Kirkbride Churchyard -  In memory of THOMAS

He was married to Mary ROBB (daughter of John ROBB and Helen STEVEN) on July 26, 1829 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.4   Mary ROBB was born on August 26, 1798 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 5  She died on January 25, 1879 in Blackhall, Kirkintilloch, Dumbartonshire.   She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #40.  Thomas McLELLAND and Mary ROBB had the following children: 

              4                      i.    Helen McCLELLAND was born on November 11, 1830 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 6  She died in 1841.7

            +5                     ii.    John McLELLAN (born on May 15, 1833).

              6                    iii.    Mary McCLELLAND was born on August 9, 1837 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 8  She died in 1838.9

              7                    iv.    Hugh McCLELLAND was born on December 18, 1839 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 10

              8                     v.    James McCLELLAND was born about 1843.  He died in 1844.

              9                    vi.    Thomas McCLELLAN was a Smith.

THIRD GENERATION

5.  John McLELLAN (Thomas-2, Hugh-1) was born on May 15, 1833 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 11  He died on April 3, 1896 in Memorial Church, Minishant, Maybole. 12  He was a Hand Loom/Woollen Weaver.  He was buried in

Kirkbride Churchyard #39.   Monumental Inscription at Kirkbride Churchyard - Erected in memory of JOHN

 McLELLAND who died at Minishant Church 3rd April 1896 aged 62.  And his wife

 SARAH STEVENSON who died at Minishant Church 13th May 1914 aged 83.  Also

five of his children who died of fever at Minishant in 1870.

He was married to Sarah Chrystie STEVENSON (daughter of Thomas STEVENSON and Sarah Christice HENRY) on June 10, 1853 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.13   Sarah Chrystie STEVENSON was born on June 18, 1830 in Parish of Kirkmichael, Ayrshire. 14  She died on May 13, 1914 in Minishant Church, Maybole.15   She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #39.  John McLELLAN and Sarah Chrystie STEVENSON had the following children: 

            10                      i.    Mary Robb McLELLAND was born on June 22, 1854 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            11                     ii.    Agnes McMurtrie McCLELLAND was born on June 12, 1856 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            12                   iii.    Sarah Hendrie McCLELLAND was born on June 12, 1858 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            13                    iv.    John McCLELLAND was born on July 30, 1860 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.   He died in 1870.

            14                     v.    Helen McLELLAN was born on June 4, 1863 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            15                    vi.    Janet McMillan McCLELLAN was born on February 10, 1865 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            16                   vii.    Margaret Blair McCLLELAND was born on May 1, 1867 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            17                  viii.    Isabella Seton McLELLAND was born on June 18, 1869 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            18                    ix.    Thomas McLELLAND was born on September 6, 1871 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            19                     x.    John McLELLAND was born on June 3, 1875 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.
