FIRST GENERATION
1. Hugh GRAY died in December 1801. He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #23. Monumental Inscription at Kirkbride Churchyard - Erected by JAMES, WILLIAM and JOHN GRAY in memory of their parents HUGH GRAY who died December 1801 and JEAN McCONNEL who died April 1810.
Jean McCONNEL died in April 1810. She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #23. Hugh GRAY and Jean McCONNEL had the following children:
2 i. James GRAY was baptized on December 9, 1763 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 1 3 ii. Agness GRAY was baptized on April 27, 1767 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 2 She has reference number Twin. 4 iii. Elizabeth GRAY was baptized on April 27, 1767 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 3 5 iv. Jean GRAY was baptized on July 3, 1769 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire. 4 +6 v. William GRAY. 7 vi. John GRAY.
SECOND GENERATION
6. William GRAY (Hugh-1) was baptized on March 11, 1773 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.5 He died on December 19, 1848. He was a Farmer. He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #22. Monumental Inscription at Kirkbride Churchyard -

Elizabeth WILSON (daughter of Robert WILSON and Elizabeth CASKIE) was baptized on June 17, 1779 in Parish of Stewarton, Ayrshire.6 She died on April 11, 1863 in Balshagrie Farm, Partick.7 She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #22. William GRAY and Elizabeth WILSON had the following children:

8. Hugh GRAY (William-2, Hugh-1) was born about 1812. He died on August 7, 1873 in Shanter, Kirkoswald, Ayrshire.10 He was a Farmer, Bogside. He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #28. Monumental Inscription at Kirkbride Churchyard - In memory of HUGH GRAY farmer Bogside who died there 07 Aug 1873 aged 60. Also of his daughter MARGARET who died 11th September 1887 aged 27. Also his wife JESSIE WILSON who died at Doonholm, Girvan 5th September 1908 aged 85.
He was married to Janet (Jessie) WILSON (daughter of Charles WILSON and Jane HUTCHISON) on March 11, 1851 in Parish of Kirkoswald, Ayrshire. Janet (Jessie) WILSON was born on May 8, 1824 in Parish of Dalrymple, Ayrshire. 11 She died on July 5, 1908 in Doonholm, Ailsa Street, Girvan, Ayrshire. 12 She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #28. Hugh GRAY and Janet (Jessie) WILSON had the following children:
