Are you researching your Family History in Maybole?

Maybole Community Resource Centre, in partnership with Maybole Historical Society can offer you assistance with tracing your family history in Maybole or the surrounding villages.

We have direct access to the following research tools:

· Scotland’s Parish Records

· Monumental Inscriptions from Maybole Old Kirk yard

· Monumental Inscriptions from Kirkmichael Kirk yard

· Monumental Inscriptions from Straiton Kirk yard

In conjunction with the Historical Society our staff will undertake a short initial investigation at no cost, from which you can decide how much more research you would like us to carry out. We will give your our best estimate of success and a timescale for completion of your request at this point.

After that any research you instruct us to carry out will be at a cost of £12 per hour (plus the cost of any certificates you request). A full price list is available below. Payment may be made by cheque, made payable to Maybole Resource Centre, in advance of research being undertaken. Payments are also accepted through PayPal by selecting the "Add to Basket" buttons on the price list below.

Please provide as much detail as possible as this will allow us to give you the best possible idea of potential results.

We will carry out a short initial investigation at no cost, and reply with our estimate of success. You can then decide whether you wish to proceed and instruct us accordingly as to how many hours of research you would like us to continue with.

On receipt of payment (£12.00 per hour + costs) we will carry out any additional research you request and obtain certificates which will be forwarded to you on completion.
