Lynsey and David were both originally from Kirkoswald, so their wedding on Saturday 19th August 2006 at Crossraguel was very much a local event. The Maybole pipe band attended and very much added to the atmosphere.  Lynsey was walked up the aisle by her Dad Barry to a fine rendition of "Highland Cathedral". The minister performing the service was John Gillies. The abbey had been decorated by flowers grown and arranged by Lynsey's granny and her friend, and her mum, Kay. The weather was also kind to the wedding party, invited guests and on-lookers. Some foreign holiday makers had a very pleasant surprise when they discovered the wedding being held at the abbey.
